The Georgia Downtown Association in partnership with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs is pleased to open a call for nominations for the 2012 Georgia Downtown Awards of Excellence.  The purpose of these awards is to recognize, honor and promote the outstanding achievements of Georgia’s local downtown development and revitalization organizations.

Award recipients will be announced to the public at the Georgia Downtown Conference Awards Ceremony in LaGrange, Georgia on August 22, 2012. During the conference, award winners will receive special recognition, including a presentation of the Awards during a general session. Winners of cash award categories will also receive a check for $1,000 donated to the local downtown development organization for the purpose of continuing its efforts in revitalizing the downtown.

To be eligible for submitting a nomination, the organization must be a member of the Georgia Downtown Association.
