Depots

The old railroad depot is often among the most historic buildings in downtown. Several have been rehabilitated for new uses such as community centers, museums, and city offices. Some examples:

		The old Central of Georgia Railway depot in Hampton houses the local Better Hometown office and other City facilities.
		Gordon's depot also once served the Central of Georgia. The 1885 structure was rehabilitated in 2003 with Transportation Enhancement funds.
		Metter's depot remembers its days of serving railroad passengers.
