The 1898 Fitzpatrick Hotel on the square in downtown Washington reopened in 2004 after decades of being largely vacant. The building now features 17 guest rooms, a ballroom for wedding ceremonies, receptions, parties and other special events, and a conference room for business meetings and retreats.
