Old City Hall, BrunswickHome | Downtown Success | Public Buildings | Brunswick Constructed between 1886 and 1893, the Old City Hall was restored for use as city offices and as a place for receptions, reunions, and small meetings. Funding was by Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
Above, much of the building's visual interest comes from the roof with its decorative chimneys, turrets, gables, and bell tower.
Above, an elaborate pediment crowns the building's entrance.
Above, elevators and stairs were installed on the side of the building to avoid damaging historic interior spaces. The elevator addition borrows design elements from the old structure but is clearly and appropriately modern in appearance.
